Albert Craig, also known as Gabriel Apple, was born on April 24, 1955, and passed away on March 23, 2020, at the age of 64. He was a Jamaican musician with a beautiful voice and his primary vocation was singing in the Roots Reggae genre.

Gabriel Apple had a difficult childhood as the youngest of ten children. He contracted polio at the age of six during the second pandemic outbreak in Jamaica and had to undergo treatment at the Mona Rehabilitation Center in East Kingston, where he met two other polio sufferers, Cecil "Skelly" Spence and Lascelle "Wiss" Bulgin.

Gabriel Apple faced mistreatment and insults from Alpha Boys School officials when he was 14 in 1967. He was homeless in downtown Kingston for a while and then lived in an open bush near the Mona Rehab for years.

In collaboration with Skelly and Wiss, Gabriel Apple formed a vocal group called Israel Vibration, which became an instant classic in Roots Reggae music with the release of their debut album "The Same Song" in 1978. They briefly joined Twelve Tribe of Israel but left due to hypocrisy.

Despite achieving international success with their music, the group had disagreements about their direction and split up in 1997. Gabriel Apple pursued a solo career and released his debut solo album "Another Moses" in 1999, followed by his second studio album "Teach Them Right" in 2010, after a long hiatus from the music industry.
