Grace is a native Canadian who was born in the town of Nepean, just outside of Ottawa. She comes from a very driven and goal-oriented household and is the eldest of three children. Her parents were among the first Koreans to migrate to the United States and Canada after the Korean War to pursue higher education.
Joon-Soo Oh, her father, is a government economist. Young-Nam Oh, her mother, is a scientist. Sandra's brother Ray Oh is a medical geneticist in Boston, where he also raises his two young boys. Her younger sister Sandra Oh needs no description. Everyone knows her because of her tremendous acting skills.
Grace was brought up in a very typical Korean upbringing. She used to be with lots of church and lots of golf. Her parents were fervent Christians, so they stressed the importance of education, piano lessons, and accomplishment.
